Connect/Listen/Grow
Church of 2 (CO2)
Real connection. Everyday discipleship. Just like Jesus modeled.
What is a Church of 2?
A Church of 2 (CO2) is a simple but powerful way to walk in intentional relationship with one or two others—just like Jesus sent out His disciples two by two (Luke 10).
It’s a way to stay connected, supported, and spiritually sharp during the week—not just on Sundays. CO2 partners check in frequently, listen for God together, and help each other grow.
How It Works
1. Choose Your CO2 Partner
Pick one or two people you’ll connect with regularly—via text, call, Zoom, or in person. The goal is to check in as close to daily as possible.
2. Daily Check-ins with SASHET
Each day, share how you’re really doing using this acronym:
Sad
Angry
Scared
Happy
Excited
Tender
(Tender means you’re feeling soft-hearted—either sensitive to others’ pain or carrying something tender yourself.)
This practice helps us build joy—a sense of "You’re glad to be with me no matter what." Neuroscience confirms: joy rewires our brains for connection and resilience.
3. Listen to Jesus Together
Turn your attention toward God and ask:
“Jesus, what are You saying to me today?”
“What do You want my CO2 partner to know?”
You don’t have to be perfect—just willing. Over time, you'll grow in spiritual sensitivity and discernment.
Why It Matters
It’s simple, but deep. You don’t need a Bible degree to start; just a heart to grow.
You’re not alone. Life is better when we have someone who sees us, hears us, and walks with us.
It’s discipleship in daily life. We’re called to be equipped for ministry—not just on Sundays but every day.
Get Started Today
Ask God to highlight someone you could partner with.
Reach out and invite them to form a CO2.
Decide when and how you'll check in.
Start sharing with SASHET and listening to Jesus together.
